Consumers across the country are finding and hiring local businesses easier and with more confidence, thanks to SuperMedia’s (formerly Idearc Media) SuperGuarantee® program. Free to consumers, the SuperGuarantee is a national consumer-oriented program designed to lower the risk with hiring local businesses such as contractors, plumbers, auto repair shops and thousands of other service based businesses.

The nationwide SuperGuarantee program and branding campaign, “We Make it Easy to Spot the Good Guys,” supports the one-of-a-kind initiative, which first launched last spring. To further support this successful program, TM Advertising, SuperMedia’s advertising agency of record, is getting set to launch the second round of “Good Guys” creative. The new creative presents SuperMedia as the advocate for small businesses and the alternative to other local search options. “Spotting the Good Guys” campaign components consist of TV, radio, out-of-home, online, and a Facebook and Twitter presence.

“We are a source of confidence, a connection to indispensable services and genuine advocates of local businesses,” said Scott W. Klein, chief executive officer of SuperMedia Inc. “As the first in the industry to stand behind the services of its advertisers, consumers have greater reason to trust SuperMedia and our SuperGuarantee partners. For the first time in many years, we are seeing an upward trend in the possession and usage of our top 100 SuperYellowPages® directories. We’ll continue with our SuperGuarantee program even long after the economy bounces back.”

The new creative continues to feature heroic service providers wearing yellow capes, while visually demonstrating the importance of hiring the “Good Guys.” The storylines range from a broken-down school bus to a high school football game that loses power; the situation is fixed flawlessly by one of the SuperGuarantee businesses. Three 30-second spots and a half dozen 15-second spots were produced and will run on network, national cable and key local markets. The commercials are available online at http://www.superpages.com/superguarantee/tvcommercials.php.

“The SuperGuarantee is one of the boldest and most unique initiatives that a brand has launched in decades,” said Bill Oakley, managing director and chief creative officer of TM Advertising. “SuperMedia truly is the advocate for local small- to medium-size businesses across America, and they have the numbers and success stories to prove it.”

The SuperGuarantee program is simple. Consumers select a participating SuperGuarantee client and register the service in advance through Superpages.com. If a consumer is not satisfied with the service provided by a participating SuperGuarantee business from the SuperYellowPages, Superpages.com or SuperpagesDirect® direct mail products, SuperMedia will work to resolve any issues or, if unable to resolve the issue, will reimburse the consumer up to $500 of the cost of labor for the service.
